Is Email Marketing Dead ? Is it Really Worth Sending Email in 2018?

I often get asked – “Is email marketing DEAD?”

With multiple of channels to reach clients and prospects, many marketers and business owners wonder- “Is it worth sending email?”

According to a research, 99% of business owners spend a lot of time in creating content and sending through their CRM. But they would never ever go through to check their analytics – who have viewed their emails, who have clicked on the links, who have not yet opened and who has unsubscribed.

This is the KEY.

You need to always go back to your CRM analytics and check –

  • Who have read your email
  • Who have opened you email more than once
  • Who have not yet opened your email
  • Who have followed the call to action (CTA)

Once you know these details, it will be a lot easier to target your audience.

For instance, if someone has unsubscribed you, what you can do is go back to that person and ask for the reason. Understand if the content you sent was irrelevant to them or was there any underlying reason.

This will help you in creating appropriate content to tap the target market.

At the same time, keep a close eye those who opened your email. Know the profile of those who opened the email – Who they are, on what area do they work on, and their areas of interest.

This is your most probable hot prospects’ group. They have dedicated a proportion of their time by going through your email, and probably researched about you and know about your service(s). They are interested in what you have to offer.

Cultivate relationship with these group, message them, or even better- call them personally. OFFER VALUE.

You could say, “We can see that you are reading your email. Thank you so much. Do you want FREE Consultation? Or Do you want to attend our event for free because you have been in our database for long?”

This will the proven way to generate leads.

You need to always check your analytics.
