LinkedIn is ranked as the major social network for businesses. With over 450M members, LinkedIn is at the forefront of connecting B2B buyers and sellers.
It’s a fast-paced world that we live in, where we not only use mobiles to play games and make phone calls, but conduct most of our business- from shopping, reserving transportation to sending emails. All this is possible because of mobile application, so we can’t deny its importance for businesses. Not so long ago, mobile applications were the thing for big multinational companies with rich and famous clientele. But the availability of smart phones at affordable price have changed that. Smaller companies are serving clients better and seeing much better results, all thanks to mobile apps.
Now, you must be thinking, “My business doesn’t need a mobile application. I have loyal customers and that’s enough for me.”
Well, I hate to say it but having loyal customers is not enough. Let’s take an example of Amazon. Suppose you own a book store, you have one of the best loyal customers out there. Then, your customers finds out about Amazon and sees that with one tap of a button on their smartphone, they will deliver books to their door step. Which one would they choose? Walk, take a bus or train to your store to get a book? Or relax at home while Amazon delivers it to their doorstep? The answer is obvious.
Now that I have got your attention, let’s find out how a mobile app can help your business grow.
- Better Branding
Since your company’s logo and name can be seen on the mobile screen, mobile apps can help increase brand awareness, as they will find it very difficult to neglect what is on their screen. Mobile application comes with different features such as push notifications through which you can send notification to users’ mobile phones about any update that you want to send out. You can send notification about different special offers to attract their attention or any personal notification like Clash of Clans did, one of the most popular game right now, with catchy notification/line- “Chief we need you”, which is more compelling.
- More value to your customer
Business is all about making your target market to open their wallet for your product/service.In order to make this happen you need to provide a level of value that they can’t get anywhere else.
Offer them good values, such as loyalty customer bonus. Let them keep tabs on their points collected and what better way to do it than to have it displayed on their mobile. We all love free products. Offer a 5-10 points free on downloading the application, and more on buying products from you which motivates them to buy more in order to increase their loyalty points.
- Customer Engagement
Customer service is not just having a face to face communication and exchanging smiles with the customers. With increasing number of customers, you just can’t exchange smiles with everybody. In comes the mobile apps to save the day.
An average person spends more than 30 hrs a month on mobile apps. They have also started making decisions such as what movie to watch, what to wear for a party and many more with the help of mobile apps. Google even has an app named “Allo” a personal chatting app with google assistant with whom you can chat like a normal person.
Through a solid mobile presence, you will be available at any time for your customer and you’ll always know you have a consistent customer service provider in the form of app that won’t be subject to mood swings and poor performance.
- Marketing Tool
Mobile application is just more than an application. It acts as a marketing tool as well, doubling your business’s market value. Mobile application can be easily integrated with social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and others. That means, with a single tap, you can post your Ads on your social page, customers can share their favorite product/service and their experience with their network helping you grow your business.
- Mobile Application beats Website
In a sense that people feel more comfortable to use mobile application than a website. If you own a business, today it is must that you need to have a dedicated mobile application. In 2014, Google released a report stating that the number of people using mobile application surpassed the number of desktop users.
Don’t limit your presence to responsive websites. It is stated that 3 in 10 customers started a purchase path from a mobile app. These statistics show why it is important to have mobile application for your business.
- Customer Loyalty
Customers’ loyalty is one of the important requirements for having a successful business. When a customer comes back to your store, which means you have done a very good job of providing them with value and customer service which is the motto of your business. But to gain a customer’s loyalty your customer needs to know about your service.Since there is already too much traditional advertising out there, how are you going to make a name for yourself in this crowded circumstances?
A mobile application helps you make a sincere connection with your clients. The fact that clients can extract information about your business without looking at the billboards says a lot. And that means increased recognition and loyalty at their fingertips.
To grow your business having a website is the start while having a mobile application makes your corporate standing strong and increased customer engagement. Having both also makes your business more reliable and builds trust among your customers. Use this technology to generate more profit and step into the bigger market.
